Great idea but controls are hard to use

The idea behind this time management type game is great but the controls on the iPod touch are difficult to use. Selecting an action is easy but selecting the city or the exact spot to lay down track is tricky. Sometimes it looks like you have a railroad built but it says no railroad, and thats very frustrating. Perhaps the iPad version of this game will be easier to use.
